I'd like to join the Soviet side Rico. It would be my pleasure to push the Facist invaders out of Mother Russia! (or get my butt kicked trying....)

It might be a while before the Soviet players get activated.

In the meantime, if you want to play the Soviet side, you'll need to stay out of the German HQ and update threads to maintain FOW.

Also, we'll be trying to play like Russians if possible.

Do you mean driving forward with massive hordes of tanks and infantry riding those... :D... don't forget to sent forward the Straffbats to clear the minefield and help identify the German positions ;)

Nah ... we used up all the Shtrafbats in the original assault on Vitebsk and the break through ... the Red Army is now in the exploitation phase

No, it means you will have to play totally drunk (or pissed, if you're hailing from the UK).

Ok, we have our initial roster full for the German commanders at this point ... we will probably need some reserves as we go along due to RL drop-out or battlefield casualties.

Work permitting I will, over the next couple of days finalise the situation briefing for Oberst von @Bootie, so he can start planning the assignment of unit commanders and of combat assets to the separate battle groups. (he will quite a lot of flexibility in that regard)

Also will post a set of basic rules and how the combat orders and movements will proceed.

Then we can get this rolling.
