Roman Civil Wars - FOGII Mini Campaign - ROUND 5 - Concluded

A victory for myself over @Nelson1812 19 - 46 (+27%)
There was a large rocky hill in the centre of the battlefield so I mainly chose auxiliaries whilst Nelson had mostly gone for heavy foot. We both had a sizeable cavalry contingent and both had 2 pieces of artillery.
For most of the battle I sat on the hill and shot at Nelsons troops in the plain below. Later I saw some of his heavy foot peel off from the main infantry body to head off after my cavalry. At that point I saw my opportunity to come down off the hill. Whilst 1 to 1 my auxiliaries were no match for his legionnaires, I was able to isolate the enemy left flank and overwhelm it with numbers.
A fun game where timing was paramount.

FRANKS capture BRITANNIA with a hard-fought 61 - 39 = +22% victory.
GOTHS repulse the PURPLE attack into PONTUS inflicting a 50 -63 = -13% defeat.
A brutal battle... at one point @Nathangun and my losses stood at 58% each -- I got a few very fortunate well-timed late rallies and just made it over the line eventually.

Welcome back. I will use my fleet to attack from ASIA into AEGYPTUS across the Mare Orientale.
Things getting a bit hairy for @Nathangun 's PURPLE faction this turn.
