THE STARCHILD SKULL is a genuine 900-year-old bone skull found in Mexico in the 1930s. The Starchild Project is an informal organization which began in 1999 when Ray and Melanie Young, the owners of the Starchild Skull, asked Lloyd Pye to head research efforts to determine what caused the unusual shape and properties of the bone.

The results uncovered by the research team
ruled out all known deformities [click to read the report], and presented the scientific community with a genetic and physical profile never before seen on Earth.

Now new DNA findings indicate that the Starchild Skull may well be “alienâ€! Now all that remains is to determine whether alien means “foreign to normal human genetics within the framework of that subject as it is currently understood,†or “definitely not from planet Earthâ€â€¦. or something in between.

Amazing....I buy it....Why can't there be aliens in ourpast that visited and left their DNA seeds amoung us. White Europeans did it with every New World they discovered 400 years ago, so I would assume other species would fo the same.

Note they are putting a lot of their own ideas and supositions in the story. The telling words are right at the end "this is what we think the DNA is going to say." they have no clue as to what it is. They do know what it is not...human, or other known species on the our planet which is the only one that has life on it.

What proof do you have this planet is unique? If God created life here, maybe he said after he created Earth and wrote the Bible that "Maybe I'll go to the other side of the universe and put life on another planet."

Let's look at what you have just wrote piece by piece.

What proof do you have this planet is unique?

I don't have proof, just faith.

If God created life here, maybe he said after he created Earth and wrote the Bible that "Maybe I'll go to the other side of the universe and put life on another planet."

After careful reading and study of the bible one would not ask this question. So if you believe there is a God and He wrote the bible you are inferring that He did not tell us all we need to know in the scriptures as they exist today?

Why is this scary?

Why not indeed I don'e honestly believe we are alone..........SCARY

Do you not understand the redemption that God has provided for us through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. That is the most comforting thing there is, God has an eternal plan for all believers and one for all non believers. The idea that one needs there to be a planet with others on it for security is silly. There is a realm that God the Father, Son ,and Holy Spirit along with millions of angels and all the saints/believers that have pasted on to, in it right now is all I need to feel comforted with. Have faith.

As God made the heavens and Earth, I have no doubt that He populated other planets with others in His image, the question I have is did Jesus have to die for those beings too? (so now we hijack this thread into a theological/cosmological debate...lol)

There is the crux of the issue...if you believe that God created the heavens and the earth, then you believe the biblical account of creation with Adam and Eve who were created in His image. When God was done He was pleased and said "IT IS GOOD". Then you believe that mankind fell from God's good graces by disobedience and sin entered the world ...therefore the need for Christ to die on the cross and restore our relationship with God.

If God created another planet with people ...by what you are saying then they would have to fall from grace as Adam and Eve and need redemption also?

As for hijacking this thread...that was done in the video with it's assumptions

It is an amazing narrow-minded and incredibly arrogant view to assume that we are the only life in this vast, amazing universe ... what a waste it would be if that were the case.

That is not what I have said or the bible. As mentioned there are angels and God and our brothers and sisters spirits in another ...one could say dimension for lack of a better term to describe the present heaven. There is so much more that we don't understand or see.

In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time someting like that happened in politics or religion.
Carl Sagan, 1987 CSICOP Keynote Address

“The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of the dot on scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner of the dot. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity -- in all this vastness -- there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us. It's been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience. To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”
― Carl Sagan

This was actually the quote I ws looking for. :)

“How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, "This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant?" Instead they say, "No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way." A religion, old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the Universe as revealed by modern science might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths.â€
― Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space

“It is of interest to note that while some dolphins are reported to have learned English - up to fifty words used in correct context - no human being has been reported to have learned dolphinese.â€
― Carl Sagan

The man makes a lot of sense:

“We've arranged a civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster.”
― Carl Sagan

“You see, the religious people — most of them — really think this planet is an experiment. That's what their beliefs come down to. Some god or other is always fixing and poking, messing around with tradesmen's wives, giving tablets on mountains, commanding you to mutilate your children, telling people what words they can say and what words they can't say, making people feel guilty about enjoying t...hemselves, and like that. Why can't the gods leave well enough alone? All this intervention speaks of incompetence. If God didn't want Lot's wife to look back, why didn't he make her obedient, so she'd do what her husband told her? Or if he hadn't made Lot such a shithead, maybe she would've listened to him more. If God is omnipotent and omniscient, why didn't he start the universe out in the first place so it would come out the way he wants? Why's he constantly repairing and complaining? No, there's one thing the Bible makes clear: The biblical God is a sloppy manufacturer. He's not good at design, he's not good at execution. He'd be out of business if there was any competition.”
― Carl Sagan

So Rico what do you believe or are you a follower of Carl Sagan?

Lets be honest God has had 2000 years to play about with new planets since the bible was written. I dont know about you but after playing Civilization IV for a few motnhs I was ready to give it another go with Civilization V. :)

Well Bootie the bible as the Old Testament has been around for a lot longer the 2000 years, and especially the Pentateuch(1st 5 books of the bible) has been around since Mose wrote it.
