I just don't understand that kind of things. You forfeit the pleasure of driving like a motorcycle i.e. the freedom and the weather agianst tour body to change in something that isn't a truck. So you miss out on both things and it cost a lot of money too.

Would be a long shot. "Spalter" means more "Splitter" but for a situation where one part is, for example, the contrary opinion as the other part. In Monty Python´s movie "life of the Brian" it is called by the Judean Folk´s Front to the only other spectator (Folk´s Front of Judea) of the children show in the arena.
