The 1st FGM Duplicate CMBN Tournament

It is with great reluctance and sadness that I must announce the ending of the Duplicate Tourney. With half of the original players withdrawing from the tourney, the reason for playing is gone. The purpose of the tourney was to evaluate the players against their mates playing the same side. Now that half the players are replacements, with scores inherited from their predecessors, this data is worthless.
After trying to run this tourney 2 times, once at the Blitz where it suffered from the same problem, I have reached the conclusion that the format is unworkable. My apologies to those who have stuck with it since the beginning, and thank you for your participation.

@Facman

Argh. Thats a real shame. Even as one of the newcomers can I say once again thank you for running the tournament. Personally I think all the tournaments and campaigns add an extra dimension to the games we play, and the effort that all you guys put in is great for us players - tho I appreciate it must be time consuming and frustrating for you guys...

Thanks for creating the tourney! I liked the scenarios. Well, except for the first. ;)

Would you publish the scores so far? That would interest me.

@Facman, +1 from me to all of Richtig's comments. Your decision is understandable in the circumstances, but a shame it became necessary.

@Facman : I respect your decision.. Anyway this kind of Tournament was really interesting in my opinion, and the battles provided were really interesting. Can you provide anyway the last updated standing, including my finished game vs mTK ?
Thanks for the effort.. Probably the number of partecipant was too huge, this determined the high number of player retirement.

I propose in the future to @Bootie to award a medal like "He completes tournaments". (in this case the players present from the beginning of the tournament until now)
So no negative, but only in positive; It could be a way to select players for tournament organizer.

I sincerely thank Facman, and I'm sorry..... this kind of Tournament was really interesting.
