I am a guest here at FGM, allowed to walk the halls by the good graces of those who make the site possible. When I can no longer support/tolerate the way it's run, I will just stop coming.

As far as i remember FGM was club for war-gamers focused on tourneys, scenarios campaigns etc ....
Ladder was on Blitz - and IMHO it was good
IMHO competitive ladder system attracts strange people.
I prefer to play for fun then play to gain position in virtual table I use Blitz for many years to have record of my games so for me ladder in FGM could be just option ! -- I don't use it

LOL -- this serious ladder debate reminds me of the fact that the FGM ladder was originally installed way back basically for shits and giggles ... and somewhere along the line got really serious... :RpS_biggrin: :boxing:
Its never been really serious... its what it is... use it or dont. And to be honest Im fed up with the constant changes to it.... every 6 months the one folks wanted gets boring and they ask for change... so I change it... then 6 months later same again. Groundhog day... the ladder stays as it is.

Alright mate, that wraps it up for me, I'm resigning from FGM and am outta here, you'll have to get yourself another boy to run the show for you when you're at work or down the pub..
I can't waste my time running things for you if you're going to keep squelching my suggestions like you've been doing just lately, and this ladder business is the last straw, my simple suggestion would have needed no software tweaks at all, as i explained earlier.
It's nothing personal, it's just that a wargame club without a proper sizzling hot ladder is like a barby without any sizzling hot sausages, no good to a sizzling hot ladder jungle fighter like me.
You can keep all my sensational tac posts, screenshots and photos which i've posted over the years, and you can keep the £300 (480 USD) i've donated to club funds, i'm kool..

Thats a shame. Like Ive said before anyone is free to come and go from this club as they please. Thankyou for all your dedication and support both financial, personal and timewise over all the years. The door is always open if you want to return.
Bootie, how are the club finances? Need a fix?
What a shame it at to end like this, I think POS was a good man, don't know the real story, can only guess at, and of course we don't want to know, I say let sleeping dogs lie........Hope you decide to return at some time in the future
Perhaps it relates to the fact that the conflict appears to come out of nowhere and the statement by POS, i.e;
would seem to indicate something that has been simmering below the surface.

Geeeezzzzzz !!!! Bootie has kept this place up and running for how many years ?????? and now because of a difference of opinion with POS ( one that most all of ya have agreed with Bootie on anyway ) folks are thinking something has been going on behind the scenes. Thats bloody amazing.........
