Sigh... Haven't heard from the store. Sent them email yesterday, no response yet. Promised delivery time is over. I guess I have to find those plans somewhere else.

I've placed an order for Planrolle: Uboottyp VII C on 17. this month, and no status updates since then. I just would like to know what is the situation and when will you deliver the item, I'm in hurry to get those plans. Order number: 500173740.

Allthough I think that your letter is very clear, in German I would write the following:

EDIT: Some good news for a while: I found a business near me that will scan black and white A1-size construction drawings to PDF format for only 1,65€ per item.

Well I still need to get the plans first. But yeah, that's cheap scanning, because one other place would have taken 20€ per item plus 10€ for burning a CD.
 
I made something I thought I would never do - I called them.

We both spoke very primitive English so we understood each other for the most part. :oops: He promised to send me email so I can pay beforehand - they don't sent to foreign countries with invoice. For some reason I didn't get any error message when I selected the invoice option so that caused some strange things in their system.

Also, now I know to train how to spell my name (like T-U-O-M...) before calling foreign customer support. I was embarassed when I couldn't do it... So he asked for my customer number lol.
 
Oh man! They should have e-mailed you about their invoicing policy... - anyway, very good idea to call them directly though. Just let me know if there still should be
a problem. Then I will call them too. ;)

Damn - WE NEED THESE U-BOATS! :D
 
Actually I just received email from them in German. I need your help to solve it, I'll post it when I get home.

Unfortunately, I also got an English email saying this:

unfortunately, according to publishing company this title is sold off completely. A new edition is not planned.
Hence, their order is not reserved further with us.
 
Mingan : ??? These are two different messages... - very unprofessional in my eyes and not very trust worthy, I think... o_O

The German notice says that the publisher plans to do a re-print release by Nov. 1st, 2012 and that your purchase is noted down (prebooked) for delivery.
They are asking for your credit card no. and will let you have a proforma invoice, if you would like to have one.

What shall we do now?

You may send me the two mails and I can write them a letter. Written stuff is always better than only telephone calls, in case there is a problem with the delivery.
But I can also call them about this matter, if you like. Maybe you can provide to me their phone number and the company's name in a PM (personal message/inbox).
 
OK then, let's try that first. Maybe you can also google this company before sending any money - who knows what you will find...?

They are doing very unprofessional. Maybe they do not have much international experience.
 
Nice I just checked my inbox five minutes ago and then noticed that you had asked about it three minutes ago. Very solid timing...

Their final response was this:

sorry for the confusion: unfortunately there will be no reprint!

So that's it I guess... But my secondary plan is rolling already, I ordered plans of type XXI "Elektroboote". Two of them was left in amazon.de so I grabbed some just in case. Must gain some motivation first...
 
Hm... I'm sorry for you that it didn't work. But it's always good to have a plan B! ;)
