Upcoming releases from BF

Yesterday during my FoW tourney I spoke with an old army buddy of mine. He is a playtester and scenario builder for Battlefront. I asked him what the upcoming releases willbe for CMx2. He told me that there will be no CMx2 releases for now. They will focus on the modern period now. So no Bulge, no early or mid war Russia or anything else :(...

He also told me that the V3.0 for CMBN will be released soon.

He created the Angriff scenario for CMRT and he would love some feedback. So if any of you guys play it let me know.
 
Good news about the modern battles it needs an update badly
 
That is what I asked him but he said that BF will go forward on modern stuff first.
 
Its good news for many that eagerly await the new modern game.

BFC have said they will go backwards in time eventually ending up in 1941 with Barbarossa.

Maybe we will even see Africa again or even early war with CM2.
 
Though it's always nice to see new WW2 stuff, got to admit some of the BF guys are probably wanting a break from the 1940's by now. :p Chris on his Twitch channel did mention that FI packs are all mapped out and waiting to be worked on but getting CMRT and Black Seas out first was a priority and soaked up all of BF's resources. Once those two titles were done then lots of little things could be worked on like the packs for existing games.

I'm also hoping for the CMx2 to go back towards 1941 or even beyond ideally. Mid and Early war has some great opportunities not to mention playing scenarios where the Germans actually have the greater level of strategic resources on hand.
 
My wishlist (in order of preference) :

1. East Africa with modules going through to Tunis in 1943 - including the invasion of Syria.
2. Balkans - starting with Italian invasion of Greece going through to Crete.
3. Blitzkrieg - Poland going through to the fall of France.
4. Pacific Blitzkrieg - Starting with the fall of the Lions gate and modules going through to high-end of Japanese power, circa 1943 ?(including the allied invasion of Madagascar).
5. Barbarossa.
6. Pacific - the rest of the pacific war 1943 -1945.
7. Korea

Should BFC ever start kickstarters for the more "unpopular" theatres I would be the first to buy in. One can but dream I suppose.
 
*crying in the fetal position* Please, for the love of God, no more WW2 games...
