Headphones on.......great cover of a Syd Barrett song, lyrics taken from the James Joyce poem.... takes a while to get going, but when it does.....

 
George wrote this song to express his frustration over being dismissed as a songwriter by Paul and John. Then George asked Eric to come into the studio to record the song with the Beatles, to force Paul and John to be on their best behavior, to take the song seriously, and to actually try hard when playing the song.

This video shows Eric playing a song that he was responsible for creating oh so many years ago ... and you can see the familiarity he feels.

Translation of Nort's old fart history, for the younger among us: Paul is Paul McCartney and John is John Lennon. George is George Harrison. The three of them were known as The Beatles, back in the day, a band of note, at the time.

The "Eric" @Nort is speaking of is Eric Clapton, a guitarist and musician of some celebrity.
