An interesting read, what do you think?

In his Kremlin defense of Russia's annexation of Crimea, Vladimir Putin, even before he began listing the battles where Russian blood had been shed on Crimean soil, spoke of an older deeper bond.

Crimea, said Putin, "is the location of ancient Khersones, where Prince Vladimir was baptized. His spiritual feat of adopting Orthodoxy predetermined the overall basis of the culture, civilization and human values that unite the peoples of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus."

Russia is a Christian country, Putin was saying.

Is there any country that has a government that is not corrupt? Our western powers leaders are in the banksters pockets etc. for years now. Funny thing is this article is the opinion of Pat Buchanan not some Russian source.
 
Somewhat interesting read even though I do not have much respect for Buchanan. He is related to the "Anti-Christ SuperStar"! He is a fourth cousin twice removed of musician Marilyn Manson (per Wikipedia?). :eek:

I do think that "family" values are being lost little by little but times are a changing. You cannot expect one generation to be a clone of the last. It is not practical. The days of Mommy, Daddy, Sis, and Bro getting up and heading to the local Church for Sunday mass is fading away. Do I think that the world will turn into Man on Man or Woman on Woman action? Not by far. If you want to lead this life style, have at it. Just do not push it on myself or my kids. I do not agree on parades or rallies glorifying these things but that is just my opinion. I think Putin is a crack pot and this just sort of justifies it a little more. He represents 144 million people -- Do I think they all agree with his thoughts? Nope.

What are yiou saying? It's OK there is corruption in Russia because there all governments are corrupt?

And personally I donýt believe all governements are corrupt. In all probabilty there is corruption in various degrees (which makes a lot of difference!!) among government officials, but to call the entire governement corrupt is simply not true.

You are right not everyone in government is corrupt, but various degrees of corruption is still corruption. In general most governments are in business to stay in business/power. Unless the individual is a person of some faith, the possibility of sin/corruption/greed/etc is greater. Now before everyone gets on the faith band wagon verses one with out a faith...if a person such as my Prime minister Steven Harper who claimed to be a christian ( I say to garner the christian vote) but runs the govn't on a pluralist belief system. I would call his beliefs into question.
Most western governments are lobbied/ pushed/etc into marching to the drum of big business and the banksters.
