Why I spend time playing Skyrim...

... besides that, it's a great RPG !

I'll never understand why everyone needs big-breasted, scantily-cald women in these games - those are the first mods that appear, no matter what RPG it is. If youc an have naked women with breasts the size of the Deathstar running around, someone's bound to make such a mod within the first two weeks after release. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?!

Was just joking, I don't have this mod and I love the rest of the game ! LOL
Normal babes look like this :

This game is on my Xmas list... dont thinking I will have much time to play it though... LOL

Problem is that like Oblivion (which is still on my HD since 2006) it's an open world with hundreds of possible ways to go, and many different ways to play (warrior, rogue, magic and everything in between) so overall it takes a lot of time and is kind of a "never end" since it generates new quests based on your situation. I haven't played so much yet, waiting for the Creation Toolkit that will be released in January and some great mods will come out then.
Just running around in great landscapes is already an experience !

The question is why everyone needs these mods. When I was single, about 10 years younger and sexually frustrated I needed them, too - I admit the freely. Nowadays I find it rather odd to have these mods because it feels... well, discriminating. Call me weird but my marriage apparently changed me.

Really.... you needed computer graphics to feed your insatiable sexual frustration... now THAT is weird!!??

Good one mate!
But since we got kids I have the need for more mods like these... :tongue-new:

Really that. It speaks volumes of the CRPG genre state these days. We get boobies - but textured, made of triangles boobies, not real ones - and in exchange we don't get any interesting gameplay anymore

I prefer to imagine the boobies myself, I can get them with a dark blueish tone if I want :)

For those who miss actual old-school CRPG's, there's a beacon of hope

Check this out. Highly recommended for those who - like me - think that Fallout 2 had one of the best combat engines ever (or still play Jagged Alliance 2 1.13 from time to time).

Ok, got me, But frustration does a lot of weird things to you. Anyway - I, too, believe it is symptomatic for the state of RPGs if the first mods to appear are "Nude Textures" and "Bigger Boobs" (the personal favorite of many being "Better Bouncing Boobs" for Oblivion). I do find it... sad.

Looks like my original joke started something...lol
In "old school RPGs" style, you have the german Drakensang series which I enjoyed. It's.... german ! Like, you have to work very hard for a little loot ...

I found the Nightelfs in WoW also very hot and sexy :redface-new:

LOL

You made me curious and I went to have a look at the list of most endorsed and downloaded mods for Skyrim.

The top 10 is made of various texture improvements for faces and enhancements like the FX Post Process Injector, 4GB Large Adress Aware... with endorsements between 1600 and 3000.

The first "Hot Mod" called "Calientes Female Body Mod Big Bottom Edition" (what a program !) is ranked n° 50 with 259 endorsements.

PS : for info n° 60 is called "Nude Males" v 0.4...

Precisely. Dragon Age was the last RPG where I felt this. The problem that I always have with Bethesda RPG's - since Morrowind - is that if you decide to play the "Metal Gear Solid" card and sneak on your opponents - since their AI is so pathetic - then the whole "character progress" thing becomes meaningless.

Getting too powerful too soon is the bane of any RPG. I remember in Morrowind getting to that fr*cking volcano in the middle of the island - after no less than 100 hours of gameplay, my in-game map looked like Google Maps - looking for that damned demi-god and I though "Man, perhaps I'm going to get a really good fight". It resulted to be a sad joke. The figure that was behind all the awesome events during my journey was just a night elf - who reminded me of the hermit character of "Life of Brian" - with a huge, "witch doctor"-like, mask on. As soon as he came into range of that über broadsword I got from the lonely orc in the south - who I killed using a flight spell and a bow, teasing him until he fell off a cliff - I swung the sword and killed him in one single blow.

And that was all.

Oblivion was perhaps, even worse. Once I saw all the - admittedly very cool - monsters, it became a grind. At least in a MMORPG that's bearable because you and your mates can be commenting on anything while you shatter hordes of mindless NPC's.

Never bothered too much with Fallout 3 (where the "Metal Gear Solid" thing works even better because we have firearms, laser guns, rocket launchers, mines, etc.). I'm currently at about half of New Vegas - that it felt like those old times in CounterStrike, camping the NPC's and sniping from high places - and I don't think I'll finish it any time soon (though the story is interesting, and I'm sort of curious how tasty can be a Caesar salad with pieces of Caesar Legion's minions).

Yet another "old school" remark about why are wrong these kind of huge boobies on RPG's
