Ya sorry my dog had a liter of pups and my love for The Arma series have slowed me down. I realized this and am gong to remedy starting today. Sorry to all my opponents for no explanation and all that

Many thanks for the updates. Looks like Round One is motoring along at a good pace. Almost 50% of the battles have finished! :D

You may have noticed that Scipio has joined our merry band. I am playing his Round One battles, but, he is aware that if we haven't finished our battles by the time everyone else has, then they will be ceasefired. So these will not hold up our steady push to the start of Round Two.

This final week of July and the month of August is the holiday season. Happy holidays! As you know I'd like to get Round Two out the door in the next few weeks. Though because August will be primarily for fun and sun, I will wait until the start of September before checking to make sure all the battles have started. Thus the end of October will be the Round Two deadline.

This means that Round Three would have a potential end of year deadline. Well, what I want to do is push everyone to up the pace to finish a few days before Christmas - go ahead and curse me, that's what I'm here for ;). This will avoid holiday and post-holiday season slo-mo and a fresh, New Year start for Round Four.

This Christmas end-date is a bit harsh, and if it looks unachievable I'll extend the deadline to mid January. The decision on this will be made before 14th December.

So to recap.
Provisional Round dates are

Round One..................................................................end date July 31st probably early August
Round Two.........start date early/mid August..........end date October 31st
Round Three......start date November.....................end date pre-Christmas (tba)
Round Four........start date January..........................end date February 28th
Round Five........tba

I will add this schedule to the Rules thread asap, and update it as necessary. If changes do occur I will notify all of you - that's part of the fun of running one these tournies :rolleyes:.

Underfire all checked and GG for our battle. I did a great mistake playing as defender, dropping out of the battles considerable forces touching limit line! But no winning and excuses you played great as defender and assaulter, congrats!

Aullete i make the same mistake as defender:D, and it was one of my big cat:mad:
 
So, I'm attacking as the British.
As the Germans, at one point during the Allied assault I notice my opponent has mmg's and halftracks. (something I lack as the British).
"Oh-ho!" I think, "He must have used his Joker".
Minutes later I move one of my armored cars into the LOS/LOF of his troops but at a distance that I figure PIATS have a very small chance of hitting a small AC.
Then, WHOOSH...WHOOSH...WHOOSH... WHOOSH...BANG!
Up in flames goes the AC.
"What the heck was all that incoming?!" I wonder.
I take a careful look around at his troops and I find....Bazookas?!

My mind, the steel trap that it is, forgot that as the Allies you could choose Americans or Commonwealth. I left it up to Facman to choose my side.
I found out the hard way my opponent had chosen the Americans.

The devil is always in the details.
 
My game with Strachwitz ended.
British attack was successful.

A game well played even if there was some confusion with the setup zones.
He may have started with troops in the Exit zone(?)

Sorry mates, my CM is still not up and functioning. I would cede my game to Lt Smash if I could access it, but since I can't is there a way to give him the victory without my access to the game?
As of right now, it's looking like I won't get back into the game until next week and I don't want the tourney to suffer for my problems.

There are still several outstanding battles so it's not a problem - I'll keep my fingers crossed you get CM up and running soon :).
I have everyones passwords, so, if the Round comes to an end before then I can review the last file or finish the battle.
 
Good game Gunner and congratulations! I haven`t started in the setup zone, but moved them in the first turn there. A whole lot of them. Stupid me :)
