Hi,
My name is Matthieu, French, 38 old, living in Paris. I've started playing with Airfix plastic soldiers as soon as I've understood they were not to be eaten, and since then I'm a military History buff. To the point that I've made my university curriculum studying it and now works in a videogame studio developing historical strategy games.
I must confess not being as much a fan of the Combat Mission series as most of you, being a total fan of the Close Combat one instead, or turn-based computer ones (such as Unity of Command). Yet, I've enjoyed several CM instalments, especially CM3: Afrika Korps, for showcasing the unsung Italian Army which is one of my hobby.
I'm presently more involved in tabletop wargames, 15mm scale (like Flames of War, but played with a more realistic set of rules), for which I've collected and painted a (very) large colonial Italian Army, as well as Australian troops.
My favorite eras in military History are Napoleonic Wars, WW2, and I've recently grown an interest in the French-Indochina War.
