Latest Club News from Bootie

"Closed Other Game Discussion - All posts moved into Musket Room. Didnt justify its own area. Future game discussion/reviews to go in review area."

Not sure I agree with this move. "Other Games" could be of more interest should significant membership increase come along. Not sure what "review area" is all about. Taking the topic down just for current lack of interest maybe not best decision, particularly if not requiring much maintenance effort.

Its easily rectified I guess. I will have a look at it later... got baba all day as Mom is out running a half marathon today.

So do you need more programmer crew? I could take a look into this database issue and maybe help on other things too if need arises.

Hmmm Ive had a look at the FGM CMX2 ladder and have no idea how the programme is listing the positions?

Is it just me or is it all over the place.

According to the blurb when I purchased it, the programme uses a unique algorithm to work out results based on your opponents position, percentage etc.

Looks to me like a pile of shit to be honest. Its like the names are randomly listed.

This is one very disappointed Bootie heading of to night shift.

Good thinking there Chief.
Is there a chance for a refund if his product is not what he said it was?

All makes sense.... its just looks out of sync until we get more bodies from the unranked onto the ranked ladder. Read on...

Reporting/Ranking System

Once a match is played, it is up to the loser to report the result. The loser inputs the statistics for the game, for example the team members involved and the score. It is then up to the winning team to confirm the win and the ladder system updates the ranks. To report the loss, a player from the losing team must use the Winning Team’s Report ID.

The ranking system works as follows:

If the winning team is unranked, then their first win will move them to the bottom of the ranked section. This is regardless of whom they beat.

If the winner is ranked, then they will move half way up to the loser’s position. In other words, if the 20th placed team beats the 10th placed team, then the winning team will move to 15th. If the winning team is already above the losing team, then no change occurs.

The inactivity-drop feature is important for preventing teams in the number one position from becoming inactive to prevent their place being taken.

I see a potential issue with a loser's motivation to post a result. Just an observation ...
Yes but both players have to acknowledge result so even if a win was posted the loser would still have to confirm the loss before it goes to ladder... and besides Ive got a big stick, a waterboard, some crocodile clips... oh and admin powers to post results on behalf of guys that refuse to (given enough evidence to do so). :)
