I remember being 17 years old and spending an evening at the Moulin Rouge. I was mesmerized by the topless dancers. I recall staring at the stage and thinking: "There must be 47 boobs up there."

May 1, 1941 - Germans confiscate bicycles at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. This is done both to help their own troops (many of whom use bicycles rather than walk) and to deprive the Dutch people of this means of mobility.
