[PIC GALLERY] WW2 Then & Now

That looks like a German soldier against the wall in the top photo ... possibly a prisoner?

So it seems. The original of the pic says: "M5A1 Stuart (3047447-S) of the 25th Cavalry Recon Squadron (Mechanized), US 4th Armored Division, turning into Rue de la Croix Quillard in Coutances in 1944".

I think your pretty close with the angle, good job by the way, I just figured the camera or film of the black and white photo couldn't capture the distant object or maybe it was washed out over time is all. :)
When we landed in Paris and drove straight to Normandy I was looking out the passenger side window and that's how saw the Eiffel tower between some buildings.
Pretty exciting really if only for a few seconds ;)
