@steve That is indeed a thing of beauty. I've owned a couple of beetles.

Best example I've ever seen, apart from a 1960 pale blue one that I drove once, at a girlfriends house.........it belonged to her father - I just reversed it off the drive for him so he could get his Jag in the garage, then back onto the drive.........gorgeous car (the girl wasn't too shabby either)....

Kissimmee Warbirds museum 2016.......really interesting little set up - they have a lot of stuff packed in there.

A few snaps from one of my ride outs on the bike........this time I was accompanied by my mate Andy - he was in the RAF and then worked at GCHQ - bloody clever bloke who loves bikes and history like me - over the years we must have ridden over 10,000 miles together.

Naunton is referred to in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Niwetone.[7] There has probably been a settlement there for at least 2000 years.

The present church, dedicated to St Andrew,[8] dates largely from the 15th century, but it replaced a Saxon church on the same site. It has two 18th-century sun dials, one of which has below it a Latin inscription, Lux Umbra Dei, meaning "Light is the shadow of God."

My bike on the left (BMW R1100R) and his black bike behind it - his is a 75th Anniversary model BMW R850R - same as my bike except the engine is smaller - his engine is more refined than mine with slightly better mpg, but down on power, particularly noticable in mid range grunt but still plenty powerful enough.
