CMRT Winter Mod

I now have a VIP Club dropbox link for downloading the mod but please PM me to get it so I can track who wants it and how many people....
 
Almost a month ago I started a thread over at BFC with the idea to kick the tires and maybe do some type of CMRT winter mod.

I think the CMRT Winter Mod can be considered successfully completed. Champagne and caviar on the house!

NOTE: The idea that every vehicle does not yet have a winter camo is not part of an unfinished mod.

Future winter camo vehicles or other wintery items to use in CMRT Winter Mod are now for the forum to contribute or bring over from CMFB.

I hope you all get some great use out of it and enjoy it.

I will be listening to PM and forum posts for anything that is an issue and attempt to rectify problems and post download links to new art or files to fix things I goofed.

There are things on the horizon coming that will add to the CMRT Winter Mod. "sub-mods" perhaps is a good term?

Tomorrow I have to hit the books hard to get a good grasp on AutoCAD Civil 3D. I will of course unwind with some CM in the evenings.

I think I have a solution to the QB issue based on discovering a solution to the mod conflict issue.

In the "Program Files (x86)" folder, you copy and paste to create a 2nd install of CMRT which you rename as "CMRT Winter Mod".

Then you create a z folder in each of those install folder under the data folder.

Then relocate ALL your favorite CMRT Bagration summertime mods from the z folder you are probably using now under "my documents" to the 1st install's z folder.

ALL the new CMRT Winter Mods go only to the CMRT Winter Mods z folder.

This 2nd install's shortcut path must be edited and we have a new winter CMRT icon you can use if desired.

OK, now the proposed QB solution....which only works if you do the 2 install process...and this will take some time for me to test and reply...I will remove the [snow] modtag so the new snowy terrain is the default for the 2nd install so NO MODTAG IS NEEDED AND WE MIGHT** HAVE SNOW QUICK BATTLES! We'd still need to edit and refine some summertime maps to make them optimized for winter.

** Pending testing of this idea.

This is my step by step guide to the procedure for the 2nd install and to have separate mod "z" folders so you can have your cake and eat it too.
This also is the route toward allowing you to eventually play another guy a quick battle with both of you using the CMRT Winter Mod.
