George F. “Buzz” Beurling (6 December 1921 – 20 May 1948), the most successful canadian fighter pilot of the WW2, is shown back at his home in Verdun, Canada. He is explaining to his dad and his young brother David, just what is wrong with a store model plane.

I believe this is Holten, near Appeldoorn in central Holland.

Whilst my dad was in the army, we lived in Holland for a short time (1968-69), before moving on to Geilenkirchen, just over the border in Germany.
Happy days.
