Only one game,but people are getting crazy over here. But it was rather unexpected. And it could even have been more!
 
Alright. Not my style of "football" but I am going to get into this starting Monday. USA plays Ghana. They say this is the "Group of Death" so that is not very reassuring. USA's coach throwing his team under the bus before this things starts is also a kick in the nutz. Not sure how you guys roll in other countries but even if your chance is 'nil' you keep your mouth shut and give it your all. He may be 100% correct on our chances but saying that outright is a no-no. Maybe his way of some reverse psychology on his team??

Ok todays games...

Colombia v Greece

Hard game to call... Greece have a fine defence after keeping 8 clean sheets in qualifying. Colombia on the other hand have their star player out injured Falcao. Im going for a draw.

Uruguay v Costa Rica

Im predicting a big win for Uruguay by 3 or 4 goals even without their talisman Suarez. The fact Costa Ricas top goalscorer is injured to will hurt them more as Uruguay have Diego Forlan despite being 35 years old to step into the breech and he is a top player.

England v Italy

Another one that is too hard to call. Im going to go for a narrow England win by a goal or two at most. I think it will be a tight game with Englands pace in the counter attack catching out the Italians. Rooney has a lot to prove so hopefully he will be out to silence the critics.

That goal is already been called 'The Flying Dutch man' :D

I'm still in shock over the result. I saw the first half then had to go to a gig. I missed a second half that will be talked about for years.
Luckily I saw the second half on the web but I already knew the result which is never quite the same :(

I fancy England to win this one. If they play like Liverpool FC :D
 
Costa Rica-Urugauy was a major upset! Great play by Costa Rica.
