Bin Laden Is Dead

If it was just a straightforward assassination job they'd have simply blitzed the compound with a couple of smart bombs or missiles, but no doubt they preferred trying to capture him alive so they could parade him to the world on TV then hang him.
But when his head flew off there was little point bringing back a headless corpse, so they shovelled up what was left of him into a body bag and brought it back so they could take DNA samples to prove it was him, then slung the remains in the sea.
What a comedown, the world's most wanted man one minute, and fish food the next..:)

They should grease that whole town, there is no way he had a compound like that and no one knew about it, he probably got his medical problems taken care of at the local hospital. And why is everyone worried about what we did with his body, they should have wrapped the fucker in bacon and strung him up from the statue of liberty. He is no true Muslim so fuck him.

The latest clip of how the action went down.

Well done! (it was time after 10 years and God knows how many bucks spent), but I don't think the story given to us by officials and medias has anything to do with what really happened. This we might know in 25 years or so from now when documents will be declassified, or if Wikileaks can get a copy...

I don;t think there is nothing to cheer about this one...
He is dead (maybe), but he left hundreds of bin ladens around....

Most funny thing is that he and his soldiers were supported by western forces during different wars - since Russian - Afghan wah, by Kosovo and Bosnia....
I believe this is called hypocrisy :)

Reports indicate that there is a major police/military academy located a mere 1000' from the compound. Hmm.

The Pakistani Military Academy, their equivalent of our West Point, But they honestly had no idea he was there :noidea::noidea:

He went down like a punk. I heard he was trying to use a woman as a Human Shield (possibly one of his wives). Double tap to the nugget. Good shooting and good ridance!

Heard on the evening news tonight that the President ruled out a missile or smart bomb strike as he was concerned that without proof positive of Bin Ladens death, Al Quaeda could have kept up the illusion that he was alive. As an added bonus to raiding the compound, US forces seized a veritable treasure trove of intelligence that is already being pored over. Don't care what your politics are, the President made a very gutsy call to go ahead with a raid of this type.

Hopefully the west will have the guts to get Gaddafi next and hang him for Lockerbie

Hmmm.... I thought they already had the mastermind behind Lockerbie bombing and they traded him go for some of that Gadaffi oil.

The guy who planted the bomb was freed from jail because they reckoned he'd got cancer, but he was acting on Gaddafi's orders, so let's get Gaddafi

Gaddafi's not feeling well either so he should be left alone.

It is pragmatism or even "divide and conquer". Very common in politics. Nothing strange about that.

Two a**holes here in the Netheland went to a police station and tried to makes charges against Barack Obama because he commited murder, which he confessed and then let the evidence disappear. According to them they are "outraged" because the whole planet sent congratulions to the American president for a cold blooded murder.

The police refused to accept it because the "crime" was committed outside their jurisdiction.

The more I read and listen to specialists debates on TV, the more it appears to me we are being told again fairy tales by officials about this operation with the info originating from Guantanamo (which gives a good reason to keep it open!). It seems he's been there for 6 years, probably sheltered by the ISI (Pakistani secret services). Since the Pakis were having problems with their own talibans in the north valleys (they were getting close from an important nuclear center and India warned they could go for a preemptive strike if the Paki Army lost the control) and they needed help and money from the US to control that situation, it looks more and more they gave (or sold?) Bin Laden to the US in exchange. Moreover, they think now that Bin Laden is dead, the US will step out of Afghanistan (and they're probably right because the US Administration would like to get out of there with a "mission accomplished" feeling) and they can resume their control of the region with the help of their friends the Afghani talibans.
I can't believe this guy has been living 6 years in a secured compound with bodyguards, with no telephone, no internet or anything, burning their garbage so nobody sees them take it out, in a city 60 km from the country capital and a few hundred meters from the country's main military academy without the secret service knowing anything !!

PS : His wife whom he was supposed to have used to hide behind and was told to be killed in the process, is in fact alive with only a shot in a leg (but nobody knows where she is), and it seems this shelter story happened one story lower with one of the bodyguards and that woman was killed.

Corsaire, of course the ISI knew he was there. We can only speculate why they did not capture him or let the US know. But you'll notice that the US did not even inform Pakistan of the mission beforehand since they can't really be trusted.
As to the injured wife, reports say she was in custody of the Pakistani forces.

Nope, his philosophy is losing steam in the Muslim world. There will be more terror attacks but more and more Bin Laden was seen as merely a nihilist and obsessed with death. And I'm cheering like hell about it.
