PANZER COMMAND OSTFRONT

POS
When you are finished loading up the game go to the downloads section at this site and check out the file I uploaded. You will need to extract the files and drop the "MEDIA" and "DATA" folders into your main game location. The scenario will then show up in the scenario list to play. This was created by 'Rick' over at Matrix and I believe it showcases all the armored and AT units in the game. Check it out.

Thanks mate, done..:)
All the usual East Front suspects are there-

I'll rummage through them and do some close up screenshots in due course, but for now I see we've got at least two new toys that we never had in Cmbb;
the Maus -

and the T-28-

The Maus is fun being nearly indestructible! Problem is it will usually suffer a mobility kill almost instantly because of its size...

Let's hope someone does a couple of texture mods soon so things like the truck won't stand out as much anymore.

Ostfront includes the Winter Storm and Kharkov scenarios plus many more, here are a few example Briefs and Maps, the scen titles are highlited in yellow-

Yeah, becasue so many modders are devoting their time to CMBN and not PCO. Still, a very good effort. The textures aren't great but adequate enough and up to the job. Let's see what some modders can do...

I found this couple of new Marder types in PC:O that are not in Cmbb-

And there's this big ground-based battery in the Russki line up-

The only serious unit omission I've discovered so far is the big Russian multi-turretted T-35 tank, but it's not in Cmbb either, so we won't miss it

Not sure what you mean there but I doubt the people interested in modding CMBN are going to spend time with PCO or vise versa. Not many people get into making models and textures. Usually it is the same few people.

Jmass is good over at matrix. Check out his work here:

Jams is pretty good over at matrix. He put together some better looking models here:

That's what I meant: A lot of good modders either work for BFC now (MikeyD), have stopped modding altogether (AndrewTF, Gordon Molek) or are busy modding CM and/or working freelance for BFC (I, Marco Bergman, Fernando). I very much hope a few others will appear that do mod for PCO because it got so much potential!

The open-ended system will keep mappers and modders going for many years..:)

Here's the splash screen, i've clicked a few of the options to have a look at them-

Hey this is kewl, you can zoom down anywhere-

pcmap1.gif

For example the Reichschancellery area of Berlin, and can use it as a base template to draw a map on-

pcmap2.gif

Or the Stalingrad Tractor Factory (you can zoom in much further than this)-

pcmap3.gif

Rogachev-

The Scen Editor is where you add units and setup zones etc to your own map or a stock map. This is stock Rogachev-

That is very impressive, I guess I'll be purchasing two games this paycheck...

That is what I thought you meant. Sorry, I forgot that BF has all the quality modders over there working for them. I guess PCO will have to make due with what they have and hope a few stragglers wonder in off the streets. Just joking man. Taking a jab at the ole' BF crew. Would be nice to have you guys work on some PC stuff to enhance the models but I know that would be a conflict of interest.

Not necessarily - I might try my hand at a PCO mod or two, but actually doing work for the next game will be difficult, yes. Not that anyone has asked
yet...
